# Start here

Connect Dapta to the tools your business already runs on — CRMs, email, spreadsheets, chat and your own API.

An **integration** is a connection between Dapta and something you already use. Once it is connected, your agents and your flows can read from it and write to it: look up a record mid-call, drop a qualified lead into your CRM, append a row to a sheet, send the email, post to the channel.

You connect each tool once, in **Settings → OAuth** or through the integration's own setup, and every agent and flow in the workspace can use it from then on.

## What you can connect

Missing an integration you need? A [webhook](/integrations/webhook-set-up.md) or a Flow Studio API node can reach any service with an HTTP endpoint.

## Where integrations get used

* **Inside an agent** — an [action](/ai-voice-agents/agent-actions.md) that looks something up or books something while the conversation is still happening.
* **Inside a flow** — a [node](/flow-studio/nodes.md) that runs after a call or on a schedule.
* **Inside a Text Agent** — [CRM Pipeline Sync](/ai-text-agents/setting-up-your-text-agent/crm-pipeline-sync.md) moves the deal to the right stage on its own.

## Setting one up

Most integrations follow the same shape: authorize Dapta from the tool's side, paste the credential into Dapta, give it a name, and pick it wherever you need it. The pages above cover the specifics, including the ones that need a private app or an API token rather than a sign-in.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.dapta.ai/integrations/integrations.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
