# August 2026

What changed in Dapta in August 2026: internal notes and context in the Inbox, Text Agents that pace their replies and send files, Voice Agents that send WhatsApp templates during a call, and new AI n

What reached Dapta in August 2026, grouped by product. Each change links to the page where it is documented in full.

* **The Inbox** gets internal notes, a context panel for each conversation and a date filter.
* **Text Agents** reply at a human pace, send files from a Brain and move contacts along your CRM pipeline.
* **Voice Agents** send WhatsApp templates during a call, get through phone menus and pass a call summary with a transfer.
* **Flow Studio** has OpenAI, Claude and Google Gemini nodes, and a Trash for the flows you delete.

## Text Agents

**Text Agents reply at a human pace.** In **Settings → Conversation behavior**, turn on **Wait a moment before replying** for a short pause before each answer, or **Reply in several short messages** to split an answer into up to 3 texts, each counted as a message. **Close after no reply for** sets how long a quiet conversation stays open, from 10 minutes to 24 hours. → [Conversation behavior](/ai-text-agents/setting-up-your-text-agent/conversation-behavior.md)

**WhatsApp contacts can see your agent typing.** Turn on **Show a typing indicator while replying** in **Conversation behavior** and contacts see the typing bubble while the agent prepares its answer. It works on lines under **WhatsApp (legacy)**, and it also marks the contact's unread messages as read, earlier ones included. → [Conversation behavior](/ai-text-agents/setting-up-your-text-agent/conversation-behavior.md)

**Text Agents can send files from a Brain.** On a Brain's page, turn on **Agent can send this file** for an uploaded file, or select several and choose **Let agent send**, then fill in **When should the agent send it?**. Agents using that Brain attach the file in WhatsApp conversations at the moment you described, and **Stop sending** turns it off. → [Brains for Text Agents](/ai-text-agents/setting-up-your-text-agent/brains-for-text-agents.md)

**Run a flow when a chat is tagged, a variable changes or a message fails.** A Text Agent's **Webhooks** section adds **Tag assigned**, for a tag added by your team or by the agent, **Variable changed**, with each variable's previous and current value, and **Message not delivered**, for a message that doesn't reach your customer. Pick the flow each one runs. → [Text Agent Settings Overview](/ai-text-agents/setting-up-your-text-agent/text-agent-settings-overview.md)

**Text Agents move contacts along your CRM pipeline.** Connect GoHighLevel or HubSpot in **Settings → OAuth**, then in a Text Agent's **Conversation Analysis** tab open **CRM Pipeline Sync**, pick the credential and pipeline, and choose the **Eligible stages**. When a conversation closes, the analysis decides whether the contact moves, and **Add contact to the pipeline if not already in it** lets it enter the pipeline. → [CRM Pipeline Sync](/ai-text-agents/setting-up-your-text-agent/crm-pipeline-sync.md)

## Inbox

**Leave internal notes in Inbox conversations.** In the reply box, open **+** and choose **Add internal note** to write a note your customer never receives. It shows in the chat as an **Internal note** you can edit or delete. Your agent reads notes as guidance when it replies, unless you choose **Hide this note from the agent**. → [Inbox](/ai-text-agents/inbox.md)

**The Inbox shows each conversation's context.** Open **Context** in a conversation to see and edit its status and variables in place, and leave a **Contact note** that stays with the contact and that the agent reads. Applied filters show as chips you can remove, the tag menu searches contact and session tags together, and **+** (**New conversation**) starts a WhatsApp conversation from a template. → [Inbox](/ai-text-agents/inbox.md)

**Filter the Inbox by date and see how many chats match.** The filter panel has a **Date range** with **From** and **To**, and the bottom of the list shows how many conversations match your filters. While the exact count loads, it reads "At least N conversations". → [Inbox](/ai-text-agents/inbox.md)

## WhatsApp templates

**Template Files holds videos and documents, not just images.** In **Data Studio → Template Files** you can upload MP4 and 3GP videos and PDF, TXT, Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents next to your JPG and PNG images, organized in folders. **Copy URL** gives you a file's link to use as the media header of a WhatsApp template. → [WhatsApp message templates](/ai-text-agents/channels/message-templates.md)

**Organize WhatsApp templates in folders.** On the **WhatsApp Templates** page, create folders and subfolders, use **Move to folder**, and search templates and folders together, with a **Last time used** column. Files you upload as a template header are also saved in **Data Studio → Template Files** for reuse. → [WhatsApp message templates](/ai-text-agents/channels/message-templates.md)

**Schedule a WhatsApp template from Flow Studio.** The Flow Studio step that sends a WhatsApp template has an optional **Send at** field: pick a date and time between 1 minute and 90 days ahead, or switch to **Variable** to use a date from earlier in your flow. The template goes out at that time instead of when the step runs. → [WhatsApp message templates](/ai-text-agents/channels/message-templates.md)

## Sequences

**A/B test WhatsApp templates in a text sequence.** When you create a Text Agent sequence, set **Template strategy** to **A/B test** and add 2 to 5 template variants with an **Allocation** that adds up to 100%. Each new contact gets one variant. After launch, **Reallocate** changes the split for contacts not yet assigned, and **Variant performance** in the sequence's metrics shows delivery and engagement by variant. → [Create a sequence](/ai-text-agents/campaigns/create-a-campaign.md)

**Voice sequences accept contact lists from several countries.** When you import a file into a Voice Agent sequence, valid numbers from any country are accepted whatever the sequence's time zone, Mexican numbers in the old +521 format and country codes typed twice are corrected, and a number repeated in the file updates its contact. The import result says how many numbers were read as another country, and each failed row names its real cause. → [Importing data](/ai-voice-agents/how-to-create-your-first-campaign-in-dapta/importing-data.md)

## Voice Agents

**Your voice agent can send a WhatsApp template during the call.** Add **Send WhatsApp template** from the agent's actions, pick a **WhatsApp channel** and an approved template, and set the **Phone number to send to**, which is the number being called unless you change it. It works on the calls your agent places, and if you don't have a channel or template yet, the action takes you to create one. → [Send WhatsApp Template](/ai-voice-agents/agent-actions/send-whatsapp-template.md)

**Voice agents can get through automated phone menus.** Add **Press Digit (IVR Navigation)** to any voice agent's actions, give it a name and, if you like, instructions and a **Delay (ms)**. When the agent reaches a menu during a call, it presses the keypad digits it needs to move through the options. → [Agent actions](/ai-voice-agents/agent-actions.md)

**Pass a call summary along with a transfer.** In the **Transfer Call** action, add a header under **Custom SIP Headers** with the value `{{call_summary-transfer}}`. When your agent transfers the call, it writes a one-line summary of the conversation and sends it in that header to the phone system that takes the call. → [Transfer Call](/ai-voice-agents/agent-actions/transfer-call.md)

**Transfer calls only during your business hours.** In the **Transfer Call** action, turn on **Restrict to business hours** and pick the **Days**, **Start Time**, **End Time** and **Timezone**. Outside those hours your agent doesn't transfer the call. Rolling out workspace by workspace. → [Transfer Call](/ai-voice-agents/agent-actions/transfer-call.md)

**Use a Custom Action's answer later in the call.** When you set up a **Custom Action**, use **Store fields as variables** to pick a field from the flow's response, such as `response.tracking`, and name the variable it goes into. Your agent can then use that value in later steps, for example in a transfer message. → [Using dynamic variables](/ai-voice-agents/how-to-set-up-your-ai-voice-agent/using-dynamic-variables.md)

## Flow Studio

**Flow Studio has new OpenAI, Claude and Google Gemini nodes.** All three share one form: pick a model rated for reasoning, speed and price, write your prompt with variables from earlier steps, and add up to 5 files by link in **Attachments** (PDF, Word, PNG, JPG, WebP or GIF, up to 15 MB each). Under **Connection**, choose **Dapta AI** or **My own credential**. Older AI nodes now show **This node is deprecated**. → [OpenAI Node](/flow-studio/nodes/openai-node.md) · [Claude Node](/flow-studio/nodes/anthropic-node.md) · [Google Gemini Node](/flow-studio/nodes/google-gemini-node.md)

**Deleted flows and folders now go to the Trash, so you can bring them back.** Deleting asks you to **Archive**, tells you how many folders and flows go with a folder, and warns that their endpoints stop responding. Open **Trash** from the flows list and **Restore** anything archived in the workspace for 30 days. A folder comes back with its contents, and each item says whether it **Returns to its original folder** or **Returns to the top level**. → [Flow Studio](/flow-studio/flow-studio.md)

**A flow that keeps failing no longer floods your inbox.** The first failure of a flow with a given error is emailed straight away, and repeats of that same error wait two hours before another email can go out. A different error on the same flow still emails at once, and there is nothing to turn on. → [Flow Studio](/flow-studio/flow-studio.md)

**One Database node can now run a batch of SQL statements.** On a PostgreSQL connection, in a flow whose **Engine Version** is v2 (Beta), separate up to 200 statements with semicolons. They must be all INSERT, all UPDATE or all DELETE against the same table, with a WHERE clause on every UPDATE and DELETE. The batch runs as one transaction, so if one statement fails, none of them is applied. → [Connecting a PostgreSQL Database](/product-guides/connecting-data-sources/connecting-a-postgresql-database.md)

## Dapti

**See your credits without leaving Dapti.** A credits button at the top of Dapti shows the credits you have used against your limit, or **Unlimited credits**. Open it for your plan, which takes you to Billing, and a bar showing how much of your allowance you have used. If you manage billing, it also has a button to **Upgrade plan** or **Buy More Credits**. → [Interface Guide](/dapti/interface-guide.md)

**Tag an agent or flow in your Dapti message.** Type @ in the message box and pick a voice agent, text agent or flow from the list, or search for it. Dapti gets its details along with your message, so you can ask about it without describing it first. → [Interface Guide](/dapti/interface-guide.md)

## AI Notetaker

**Review a meeting in AI Notetaker right next to its recording.** Copy the recap section by section, tick off **Action Items** as you finish them, search the **Transcription**, leave **Comments** tied to a moment of the recording, or ask the **Dapti** tab about the meeting. Folders get **Folder Notes** and a star, and the **Panel** shows your **Recorded time** and your activity for the **Last 7 days**. → [AI Notetaker](/ai-notetaker/ai-notetaker.md)

**Show your own banner when the meeting bot joins a call.** In AI Notetaker **Settings**, under **Bot Avatar** for a connected calendar, choose **Upload custom banner** and pick a JPEG or PNG image (1280 × 720 px recommended, up to 1.3 MB; square logos are cropped to 16:9). **Remove banner** takes it off so you can choose another image. → [Meeting bot settings](/ai-notetaker/meeting-bot-settings.md)

## Dapta MCP server

**Give each tool or teammate its own MCP key.** A workspace now holds up to 10 active API keys. In **MCP Access**, open **Advanced: connect with an API key**, click **Create API key** and give it a name. Each key shows when it was created and last used, and you can **Rename** or **Revoke** it without breaking the others. → [Mint your API key](/dapta-mcp/setup/mint-your-api-key.md)

**Ask Claude why a flow run failed.** Your connected assistant lists a flow's recent runs, filtered by status or time, then opens one step by step: each node's status, how long it took, what went in, what came out and the error that stopped it. If you are already connected, there is nothing to set up. → [Flow Studio for the MCP server](/dapta-mcp/skills/flow-studio.md)

## Account and billing

**Start Pro now, with or without the trial.** On the monthly Pro card in **Billing → Plans**, **Or Purchase Now** skips the 7-day trial and starts the plan at checkout. Already on the trial? **Get pro plan now** charges the card on file when you press **Pay Now**, or lets you switch cards first with **Change Method**. → [Plans and Pricing](/my-account/how-credits-work-in-dapta/plans-and-pricing.md)

**Choose what each role can do in Dapti and Data Studio.** In **Account Settings** › **Workspaces**, open a workspace's **Roles** tab. Set **View**, **Edit** or **None** for Data Studio (Brains, Tables and template images) and for Teams, Tags, voice Channels and SIP trunks, and **Edit** or **None** for Dapti. Members only see the menu items and pages their role allows, and the **Users** tab shows each member's role. → [Add team members](/my-account/account/add-team-members.md)

**See the tasks your Dapta team assigns you, and check them off.** The checklist button in the top bar shows how many are pending and opens **Tasks**, split into **To Do** and **Done**, with due dates and an **Overdue** label. New assignments and upcoming due dates also reach you in the notifications bell.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.dapta.ai/news/august-2026.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
