# Quick Setup

Get a Dapta agent answering real customers. Four steps, about thirty minutes, with the pages to follow for each one.

**Dapta** is where you build AI agents that talk to your customers — on WhatsApp, on the phone, and on your website — and connect them to the tools your business already runs on.

This page is the short path from nothing to an agent answering real people. Everything else in these docs goes deeper on one of these four steps.

[How to create an account in Dapta?](/my-account/account/how-to-create-an-account-in-dapta.md)
{% endcontent-ref %}

## 2. Build your first agent

Pick the one that matches how your customers reach you. A **Text Agent** writes — WhatsApp and your website. A **Voice Agent** calls and answers the phone.

{% tab title="Text Agent" %}
Name it, choose a purpose, describe your company, and test it in the same screen.

Not sure what to build? Six things other teams build first:

[Create your first Voice Agent](/ai-voice-agents/creating-a-voice-agent.md)
{% endcontent-ref %}
{% endtab %}
{% endtabs %}

## 3. Test it before anyone else does

Talk to your agent in the **Playground** until it answers the way you would. Testing does not cost you a customer conversation, and it is much cheaper than letting a customer find the gap.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.dapta.ai/quick-setup.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
